Jineen Cronin is a visionary artist. Her watercolors appear to flow with movement right in front of one’s eyes. The pieces possess both an energy and a peacefulness that tickles the viewer’s intuitive awareness.

As a child, Jineen’s home in Queens meant many visits to many New York City art museums.

The young girl was hooked. Her talent achieved her an art scholarship at St. Leo College where she also studied theology. After graduation, Jineen spent six months teaching art to children in Jamaica. That was when she fell in love with watercolor and tropical hues.

Back in the states, she continued her education by studying the science of human consciousness. Soon, Jineen was lecturing on the subject and spent the next ten years zigzagging the country. During this time, Jineen continued to paint . She also experienced three powerful events that influence her paintings to this day.

The first event was a deep understanding of cellular energy, focusing on the latest research bridging the gap between physics and metaphysics. The second experience was the magical birth of her son, Jovin. And her third inspirational moment was the start of a spiritual awakening – it was the first time that she swam with wild dolphins.

“Swimming with dolphins is the closest way for me to truly experience nature ( god),” Jineen said “they’re our counterparts underwater. They communicate with you, study you, play with you – all while swimming along a half an inch beside you. They sense your every movement. You never touch, but you’re totally connected.”

Jineen spent 9 months swimming along side her friends in the Florida Keys. She later plunged into the water with pods of dolphins in Southern California and joined the Spinner dolphins in Maui.

Many of her pieces, and name of her collection –Dolfinity Gallery – have been inspired by her swims. Other paintings showcase her passion for geometric shapes, scientific related symbols, flowers, fluidity and birth.

Five years ago, Jineen left the lecture circuit and settled down in Lake Worth, Florida where she now resides with her son. She recently unveiled her first collection in the fall of 2002 and has already become a popular, local artist.
